The Nine Nights BA Rum series is our tribute to the traditional Jamaican funeral ceremony of the same name and the amazing Jamaican rums used to toast the loved ones as they pass from this world to the next

Historically, Nine Nights is an extended wake of mourning, commemorating the life of the deceased, where on the 9th night the spirit is sent on its final journey

Jamaican rum, with its crazy dunder pits and wild fermentation processes, is world-renowned and valued for its rebellious attitudes, wacky flavors and high ester content. We took a pristine 4-year-old rum packed with plenty of Caribbean 'funk' and bursting with big hitting flavors and broke it over the course of 30 months in four extraordinary stout barrels from our good friends at The Veil Brewery

As well as adding the natural sweetness and oakiness one would expect from barrel aging, our subtle maturing process has blown our minds and created four amazing rums with totally unique impressions (see below) layered on top of the original flavor profile (think unripe bananas, petrol, rubber, dried fruits)

NINE NIGHTS - BOURBON MISERY WIZARD - maple syrup, coffee and chocolate with notes of cherry and almond
NINE NIGHTS - VANILLA RYE WHANGDOODLE - marshmallow, muscovado, crushed peppercorns, pineapple and cardamom pods
NINE NIGHTS - MAPLE APPLE BRANDY WHANGDOODLE - calvados, burnt caramel, coconut and white pepper
NINE NIGHTS - APPLE BRANDY TOAST E-COILZ - fresh apple peel, big red chewing gum, maple syrup and vanilla

The incredible artwork for The Nine-Nights series, capturing the journey of the duppy to the underworld in true PS style, was created by the talented Niclas M. (monkeymouth.bigcartel.com), flanked by Tobias Munk Åkesson, with the inclusion of a subtle hint of color to distinguish between each of these four very special BA rums.
