Cruentus Red Vermouth (2017)

Our Cruentus Red 2017 Vermouth is a bold and complex spirit that challenges the traditional perception of vermouth. A Nordic interpretation of Italian vermouth, crafted in collaboration with Æblerov & Herbal Salvation.

The production of Cruentus Red 2017 begins with a carefully selected base wine, a 2017 Cabernet Franc from Tre Monti. This wine provides a rich and tannic structure for the vermouth.

The heart of Cruentus Red lies in its botanicals, which are hand-gathered during the Summer Solstice from various locations across Denmark. These botanicals include herbs, spices, and flowers, such as rose petals, sea sandwort, wood sorrel, pine shoots, lemon beebrush, mugwort, sage, yarrow, and cotton lavender. 

The resulting vermouth is a complex and aromatic spirit with a balance of sweetness, bitterness, and herbal notes. Its bold and assertive character makes it a perfect choice for classic cocktails like the Negroni and Manhattan, where it adds depth and complexity.
